In an interactive discussion, panelists will discuss:

  • What is one thing that brands or retailers need to know about social commerce?
  • What is the role of social media in commerce and does it really present a new opportunity?
  • What are some social commerce strategies for acquiring new customers?
  • What are the latest social commerce tools being developed by e-tailers to increase marketing effectiveness and enhance customer experiences (e.g., Facebook apps, group buying initiatives, social shopping communities)
  • How should brands and retailers marry “social” with other methods of online distribution for customer acquisition and retention?
  • What are the legal implications of social commerce or social media that brands and retailers should be focusing on? What are three things that they should venture into social waters without knowing?
  • What does all this mean for the future of retail marketing and is this a sustainable strategy.
  • What is mobile commerce's impact on all of this? How can retailers/brand integrate mobile commerce into their social marketing plan.

What Is Retail Camp?

Retail Camp is an extension of Fashion Camp LA. After the first conference in Los Angeles this summer, we were asked to include the Beauty and Lifestyle industries as well. So we did!

Retail Camp is a conference with workshops and presentations focused on digital media.  Topics include  marketing, social media, launching collections directly to consumers, public relations, manufacturing, eCommerce, mobile marketing, augmented reality and QR Codes.

Who Participates In Retail Camp?

At Retail Camp, we encourage emerging and established experts to share their knowledge. Designers, students, bloggers are always welcome to come and learn as well.

What Happens At Retail Camp

At Retail Camp, discussions, demos and open participatory workshops are attended and run by the participants. All attendees are highly encouraged to get involved by giving demos, presenting on a topic, or sharing their knowledge.

Retail Camp will work to bridge the gap between the fashion/beauty/lifestyle industries and the technology industry. The conferences will focus on ways in which technology can take our industries forward into the new decade with new techniques, new materials, new business models, and new possibilities. Get involved.
